Place2Give.com hires new Technical Director

Calgary, Canada, May 6, 2013 – Startup Place2Give, Canada’s leading charity search portal, has hired a new Technical Director. Place2Give has also doubled their technical team by bringing on two new developers to the team in addition to the Technical Director. This new expansion of Place2Give’s technical team is the next phase in the startup’s growth plan.

“At Place2Give I will be in charge of ensuring our software projects are developed and our technical requirements are met” says Steven Bengtson, Place2Give’s new Technical Director “Keeping up with these deceptively simple tasks is paramount to success for any startup and I believe my previous work experience enables me to deftly and efficiently manage these tasks while pushing Place2Give to the next step in its evolution.”

Steven Bengtson, Place2Give’s new Technical Director, held previous positions at prominent technology companies such as Revenuewire Inc, Songbird (Pioneers of the Inevitable) and Flock (Flock Inc). Steven’s specialties include: web based applications development (PHP, Javascript, MySQL, Ruby), HTML expertise, C++ development skills, Mozilla toolkit development, and object oriented development. Steven holds a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology from Camosun College.

The other new members of the technical team are Jessica Szeto, a UI/UX Designer and Ryan Bengtson, an Intermediate Software Developer.
