I have been watching the ripple effects of the allegations of misuse of funds by Three Cups of Tea author and charity founder, Greg Mortensen. Mr. Mortensen has been accused of spending donor dollars to promote his book, and more importantly that what he says he is promoting is not what is happening on the ground.

Teaching our Children Philanthropy

Last week I had the pleasure of volunteering in my daughter's grade 5 class at Nellie McClung Elementary School in Calgary, for a fundraiser for the Conquer Cancer Foundation. It was very touching to see all the kids in her classroom so excited about the event, and to see the rest of the school participate.
